Ok so it's the first day back at work and I arrive way too early, so I went to work via Waitrose. This was a costly mistake as I saw a macbookpro, 200 quid cheaper than the normal price. I then spent the rest of the day pondering on whether to buy it. It was such a good deal it would have been rude not too, so I did buy it. But I also haggled to get an extra 50 quid off. Result! However to stop that sort of spending in future I have now refrained from arriving at work early. One of the cool features of the macbook is the keyboard lights up in low light conditions, beautiful.
What a cool way to start the new year, with a pony ride. This is my god-daughter Isobel and she had a cool time riding Penny and seeing the other horses. This was all down to Kyla who suggested the idea, supplied the pony, and earn us both loads of brownie points with Isobel's parents. It absolutely poured down with rain about an hour before Isobel arrive, thankfully it eased off whilst Isobel was riding. Unfortunately I only had my phone camera to hand so not the best quality shot in the world but it did capture the moment.
I did this project for the first time last year, and found it to be quite a challenge, but hopefully this year it will be easier. Unfortunately I only printed the photos out as hard copies, and then it just became too big to upload on to a website for me to share with others. So I finally got around to setting up this blog. This is my first blog, so if things appear a little all over the place, bear with me. I will be adding the first instalment of photo of the day (POTD) from the beginning of January 07 soon. I feel a little under inspired at the moment, but that might just be down to the fact that it's the start of a new year, the days are short, the weather has been rubbish and that I have just moved to a new house in a new town. But things are starting to settle down, so I can now focus on putting POTD on this site and keeping it up to date. I'll be back with the first installment of POTD soon.
