31-JAN-07

Went to play pool with K. It was a good opportunity to use a slow shutter speed with moving objects.

30-JAN-07

Another late night shot, this time of my belt buckle made from a genuine car American seatbelt buckle.

29-JAN-07

I go past this alley most lunchtimes and never really paid much attention to it, I don't even know where it leads to. Maybe that'll be another POTD for the future.

28-JAN-07

I finally got around to setting up the surround sound at Johnny's and thought the back of the amp looked quite interesting.

27-JAN-07

My mate, Rachel was playing in a backgammon competition in Rodborough. I thought the board looked more interesting close up with the dice and shakers. I also loved the combination of colours.

26-JAN-07

What goes up must come down!

25-JAN-07

There's never a bus when you want one! Not a very exciting view of the bus stop outside work, but it just caught my eye.

24-JAN-07

Camera phones are great for catching those impromptu shots. Here's one whacked out Johnny. Sorry, but when you're asleep you become fair game.

23-JAN-07

A view of rooftops from our office at work.

22-JAN-07

Another early morning start and another morning of being stuck in traffic! It's not the best way to start the day, but at least you know that the day can only get better.

21-JAN-07

Frodo is K's chipmunk, and she has suddenly decided to moved her house to under the kitchen units. This is hard work for such a little creature especially when the bedding being move is bigger than you!

20-JAN-07

When feeding geese you don't really notice their feet. But the colour and detail are amazing...worthy of POTD.

19-JAN-07

We saw this car in Lydney, and just couldn't believe how someone could put mudflaps that big on a Fiat Punto and actually think it looks good. Thankfully we had to stop at traffic lights, so I was able to capture this strange sight and share it with you.

18-JAN-07

Today I was looking online at 'Duct tape' things and I was also looking for a laptop bag. So, I decided to make my own laptop bag out of Duct tape and a Jiffy bag. As I did this K was being creative in the kitchen with cornflakes and chocolate, mmmm.

17-JAN-07

I was on my way to work and this van caught my eye, well it was actually the message written in the dirt. The thing was, I couldn't see the word 'dirty' in the big letter 'C' and so the message just didn't seem to make sense. It said, "I wish my wife was this dirty. She is." It was only when I looked at the photo on screen that it all became clear. Doh!

16-JAN-07

This was the sight that greeted me on the day I moved out of Quedgeley. It was a birthday present from Heidi and I was gutted it had to be this mug to get broken. It was a sad way for things to end. Today I went back to do a final clean and hand my keys back. Now it's time to move on and leave that stuff in the past.

15-JAN-07

Finally all my stuff is now down at Johnny's house...in boxes...in my room. I didn't realise how much stuff I actually had. Now I do! So, all that's left to do is sort it all out, which could take some time.

14-JAN-07

Went down to the fire station to help K do her IPDS (training records), whilst I was there I saw the fire fighters helmets all lined up. I like the uniformity of them. They're ready and waiting for action.

13-JAN-07

Today I move to Lydney. I'm a little nervous but I think it's the right move. So POTD was of the Lydney sign on my last trip of the day.

12-JAN-07

Another late night POTD, this is becoming a bit of a habit, but I move this weekend so my mind is a little pre-occupied. Anyway this is a shot of K's "bad taste bears" collection.

11-JAN-07

This is my first real taster of the commute from Lydney to Cheltenham. It now takes me one and a half hours to get to work in the camper, instead of just 30 minutes.

10-JAN-07

This is where we work, in particular this is the area we use to come up with our creative ideas. But on beautiful days time is usually spent looking out of this window onto Cleeve hill, were I would rather be.

09-JAN-07

Just another late night POTD and still packing. The interesting thing about POTD is that you capture things that will change and never be the same again. Just like my beside cupboard. Oh yeh and it also serves as a reminder of how you were feeling on the day. I had a killer migrane which didn't help with the packing.

08-JAN-07

I'll be moving out from Quedgeley and moving to Lydney on the 13th Jan 07. So let the packing begin. This is a mammoth task, I didn't realise how much stuff I actually had!

07-JAN-07

This is what a thermal imaging camera image looks like. You might just be able to make out that K has a very cold nose.

06-JAN-07

Today was a great day. Johnny had given me a set of keys to his house. This is where I will be moving to mid january. The keyring was a present he brought back from Gambia. Ace.

05-JAN-07

Sometimes POTD gets left to the last minute and this usually results in random shots. K and I had just been making pancakes and she wanted to demonstrate her flipping skills. This was a great opportunity to get POTD and it was great to capture the pancake mid air mid flip. This couldn't have planned it if we'd tried. They tasted great too. Mmmmm.

04-JAN-07

Photobooth is a new bit of software I discovered on the laptop and it uses the built-in camera to take photos, then distorts the image, it's a bit like being in a hall of mirrors at the fun fair. This cause hours of fun with Johnny and Kyla. Getting Johnny to look like an Orc was quite an achievement. Beautiful!

03-JAN-07

To enable me to up load POTD and create a dvd of last years POTD I needed to go through the photos and transfer them on to my laptop. I also needed to do this before I moved out as I didn't know when I would get the computer set up. So this was my attempt at being organized, and it worked.
